The Plog/Yuki Fansubs

We knew the trolldom already, of course. *sighs*

Even so, this is now a lamentable waste of what used to be a good show, stuck in a loop of Endless Filler™.

We’re on 15,521 and counting now, and still looping. I’m beginning to think that the reason they’re doing this is purely to try to make fansubbers give up. Clearly, they’re going to do this all summer; maybe even until August so it syncs up. Bah.

Thanks, Yuki, for not giving in to them. Good episodes will come, I know it! (Even if we have to wait for the ones from Season 1 again.)

If your machine is too old to play h.264 video at 720p/AAC audio/ASS softsubs in MKV (which is what most fansub releases are now), then try a.f.k.’s oldschool XVID .avi releases of Haruhi, as they make .avi look about as good as anyone can, and you’ll play that with ease.

The audience capable of playing h.264, but only in 480p and not 720p, is very limited; probably far too limited to bother releasing a special version to. Older machines typically play XVID/MP3 in .AVI without any problems, so those who can’t play MKV easily, or prefer AVI hardsubs for convenience’s sake (for Xbox Media Center, and the like) tend to just go with that old faithful.

If you do want to play these newfangled 720p releases, you could try a few tricks to speed it up: consider trying CCCP (which you should be using anyway) and then installing CoreAVC, which is a faster H.264 decoder, and disabling CCCP decoding H.264 so that CoreAVC does it instead.

Even better, if you have a graphics card which is a GeForce 8xxx or later, or ATI Radeon HD anything, you could try the latest CCCP beta version with MPC-HC, go into the options in MPC-HC and select Internal Filters, H264/AVC (DXVA), and see if that works for you, because that tries to make your graphics card decode it (pressing Ctrl-J when playing will show you if it has).

I have 2 agree with you, I don’t know why I keep DLin and watchin the new episodes even though i know its gonna be the same thing again with different clothes. What you say is true though if it was anything else I would’ve dropped it a long time ago.

Well, the only reason i could imagine why they would do something like that would be to hammer home the point why Yuki would change the world in Dissapperance. Also hopefully there 24 NEW episodes cause with 8 endless one, ngrh.

I’m disappointed that its lasted for this long, but clearly complaining about it isn’t changing Kadokawa’s minds. There must be some serious reason behind this endless loop otherwise I think a lot of people are going to be angry. But whatever I didn’t even bother watching the entire new episode because it’s pointless
