Thank you VERY much for these! Mazui’s release burned my eyes out, but yours is incredible by comparison. I pity you for episode 14. You can’t even copy and paste the subs, and I’m sure Kadokawa are now just happily taking the mickey, the enormous trolls that they are.

I’m with Shuichi here, by a long way. Even though they’re the primary source, their subs just aren’t as good, and the YT release is I think, the same source as one of the broadcasts…

(Say, I wonder what’d happen if the sources could be combined in an enhancement algorithm somehow?)

One has to wonder what’d happen if they hired fansubbers to produce the US/Europe Blu–Ray™ releases, and gave them access to the primary sources and masters—because the quality Hitsuji and Yuki has done far surpasses any commercial release I’ve seen. (Blu–Ray™ is a LOT better for subtitles than DVD. You can do fancy graphic subs, with a transparent PNG for each differing frame, or you can have a BD–J Java applet to render them… you could indeed use .ASS on there if you wanted, using a BD–J renderer, if someone finished and ported Kumaji.)

But yes… Kadokawa are enormous trolls. I don’t really know if they’re getting away with this (I swear, there was only ONE chapter of Endless Eight in the books!), but it’s kinda fun to watch the iterations’ slight differences. For now. If we’re still in the loop by 15, then…

Itsuki pulls off the out–and–out yaoi bishounen pose rather easily and convincingly. I’m quite certain I saw sparkles—I think he rather likes playing with Kyon, hehe, and he’s starting to get the ‘Groundhog Day’ effect that perhaps nothing he does matters if it’s going to be erased! He’s starting to take the mickey, and I’m wondering if perhaps Itsuki is Kadokawa’s/the author’s avatar to some extent… *grins*

And this, right here, is why they didn’t include episode previews for this “rerun”. I pray to Haruhi that Kyon can break this loop on iteration 15,500 (well, it is a nice round number). I’m starting to get worried for the rest of the season; I hope we actually DO get Snowy Mountain Syndrome, The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya (i.e. the making of episode 00), Where Did The Cat Go? and the Disappearance, because we’re running out of episodes for them if they’re just going to keep repeating Endless Eight…!

Awesome Monty Python reference.

Episode 14 is almost identical to 13 in script, but with slightly different timings. I know, I played the episodes side by side. I noticed that they got the voice actors to say the exact same lines slightly different each time. In 14, Kyon’s bit at the beginning is deeper and more annoyed than 13.

i say next episode will resolve the endless eight. they just took the eight because its a symbol of infinity (endless loops), SPOIILERRRR: DO NOT READ COS SPOILER OF EPISODE 13!!

by the end of this episode kyon already noticed the faint feeling of what to say (he noticed that haruhi set the next day aside)

I’ve heard the only difference btw ep 13 and ep 14 is 15,498 and 15,499.

For those who live in the USA, I’m pretty sure Haruhi airs on Thursday afternoons. So… I believe that means it airs in Japan early in the morning on Fridays or late at night on Thursdays, depending on how you look at it.

Thank you very much Yuki for all your hard work its REALLY appreciated. Your work is great, better than compared to most fansubbers. One question though, when is your next episode arriving? I do realize your a one person team so it’s gotta be hard, but do you have any idea of when you’ll be done?

I’m sorry if this feels like a rant, it’s not. And I can wait another week if I have to, because your fansubs are that awesome! Thanks Yuki! <3
