quick question the haruhi that is airing now is the second season? because aside from 1 episode it looks the same to me im a bit confused

Yes and no. So far there has been one new episode of the second season but by the looks of it there just airing all of the first and second together in chronological order. No idea why but that’s how its going.
This is a late release?, youre a week after airing time, but you are still ahead of any other subbers XD

The series is based on (so far) 9 novels. From those Kyoto Animation selected material for 14 episodes, and aired them in 2006 in nonlinear order (11 1 2 7 3 9 8 10 14 4 13 12 5 6) because it turned out it’s more interesting that way.
Now they are airing the series again, but with 14 new episodes and in chronological order, so we see new episodes mixed in with the old episodes.
In other words, they are releasing 28 episodes in chronological order, 14 or which are new and mixed in with the old to fit chronologically. I love the way they are doing it. Mainly because I have been wanting to rewatch one of the best animes I have seen =D. Thanks for the subs.
Just wondering, what is Yuki’s source? Is it DVDs? And also, is Yuki planning to re-release S2 episodes in the future with DVD/Blu-Ray sources?

@gar: their source is from TV-rips. The channel has recently started showing repeats of Haruhi (along with season 2). They are airing the DVD versions of this series.

I have investigated Haruhi Episode 10 and it seems that the duration is set wrongly in the mkv (checked with mkvinfo). I found out because SMPlayer also displays the wrong time duration because of this.

Am I correct and Ep11 and 12 have aired by now? Of course, episode 11 is only an old episode so that one isn’t that important but episode 12 would be nice to watch
