The Plog/Yuki Fansubs

In case you haven’t heard already, Shamisen is cutting all ties with us/me. As to exactly why, I only have an inkling, but in my and several other analyst’s opinions, it’s quite the gross overreaction. By his reaction, he clearly doesn’t want to talk about it. I could respect his “wishes?” to not discuss it, but I feel like it needs to be appealed. Besides, the last thing I’m obligated to do is respect his decision as of now.

Like all fansubdrama, it started on IRC. Innocently enough, it seems. In a nutshell, he blamed me for ruining his day. He quit’d one of his nicks. I said something about how I wasn’t worried, and it would blow over. I also said something about how “He probably doesn’t really know [how to encode] either.” Then he kickbanned me from his other nick. Hah. I was pissed at that point, and went on an evading craze, which I admit was fun. Two more unnecessary bans later, I decided that it was getting boring. That was, say, 3 days ago.

Now, I check back today, lo and behold, I was still banned (not that I was expecting anything less). He also posted about how he was not posting about Haruhi S1 releases anymore, and get this, locked comments on the post, which can be found here. In my humble opinion, the way he reacted to this little incident shows…something. Several signs, including 1. cryptic announcements without any explanation, 2. preventing further discussion coupled with #1, show me that perhaps he doesn’t have a real reason for this. If you ask me, I am not at all surprised, and I am not exactly optimistic about re-establishing a link. I’m not at all sure that it would be the best idea, nor would it actually work…again…
