Translator wanted!

Now, this is based purely on speculation, but according to said speculation, next week is a potential candidate for a new episode of Haruhi to be slotted in. Now, I don’t know Japanese. I don’t really know anyone who knows Japanese. Hence, I am posting here in the slight chance that anyone who reads this (psh, who reads this) is fluent enough in Japanese and has nothing better to do than to help out here.
Now, if I get nobody, which I am pretty sure will be the case, I suppose I’ll just have to stop. Not that this will probably be a bad thing, but I’d be out of something to do. Moment of truth here we come.
So tell your friends. Ask around. Maybe we can expand the one-person-team a bit.

and i really hope u find a translator,cuz i really enjoyed watching haruhi 1-6 in awesome quality.sucks i dont know japanese.
still,even if u dont find one soon,i hope u resume and sub the new eps if u find a translator later.
isn’t next week’s ep the boredom of haruhi suzumiya, chronologically? if so the supposed new episode will be just next next week.
we dont know if they are doing it chronologically.they could just do it in novel order.the melancholy arc is first in both chronological and novel order, so we cant be sure until the ep comes out.just a few days left!!

Come on people! There has to be someone willing to do this! Whoever does this will be a hero!
Why would next week be a new episode? they’re only 6 episodes into the series. They’re gonna show all 14 episodes of the original series, then everyone will baww cos there’s no second series after it. If there is a second series after it though, you’ve got another few months before you need to worry.
I don’t see a reason for you to stop releasing the next episodes. If e new episode will air, I’m pretty sure some group will be subbing it, so you could just w8 for that x group and use their subs on your release. This at least for the sake of consistency and not dropping the project.
If the next episode won’t be a new one, I guess you will continue releasing the episodes up to the availability of a.f.k subs go.
But actually I just hope you’ll find a translator just in case.^^

I’m somewhat uncomfortable with doing that, haha. For this series it’s ok to borrow subs, as it’s been done already. For a new series, I’d feel bad attempting to rebrand someone else’s subs, and it would kinda be pointless to do so anyway.

If you want a team, I can only help in my language, (though by next year it may be different since I’m self-learning Japanese kanji to boost my Japanese vocab + taking Japanese in college to boost my Japanese grammar)

It seems that the next episode might be new (#8) as it would follow the book order, although they are skipping the sighs.
