Schedule + shameless tag cloud/summary
So, my schedule for this weekend looks quite busy. Allegedly, but quite probably, this weekend’s airing of Haruhi is going to be NEW. This means that there will be TL-delay involved. In addition, I’m participating in one of the nerdiest competitions around, ACSL. Basically, I am away the entire weekend; and may or may not have Internet access. Yay. This would most likely further delay my release. This leads to the new board poll.
In addition to this exciting news, I have come to the conclusion that a very, very small percentage actually know that this blog exists. Also, a very very small percentage of hits come from google, or other search engines. This leads me to the conclusion that I have not been advertising this plog/blog in the correct manner. This post will make up for it.
Basically, this blog, originally established for a mix of life and other stuff, is the current headquarters of the Yuki fansub group. All announcements on releases of the Haruhi season 1 rebroadcast/reair, maybe Haruhi season 2 subs, will be made here. This site also has an XDCC list for releases as well. I repeat: this is the place to go if you want info on the latest releases, as well as updates.
I am currently resubbing the first season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and may tentatively decide to sub the second season.
I am also known as Nol888 on IRC, and post by the alias Yuki`N. Note that Yuki`N on IRC is NOT me; I was not lucky enough to get that nick. Our IRC room is #Yuki@irc.rizon.net, and we have a grand total of two XDCC bots.
We used to be affiliated with Shamisen, who is doing the resubs of The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya, but after being unceremoniously kicked out, we are now based fully on this website. And on the above IRC channel. That’s right.
Unfortunately, I do not have a capper living in Japan, and am forced to wait for raws from a 3rd party. This slows release time greatly, it also means that I do not know where the raws are coming from. Therefore, they maybe tv rips, or dvd rips, but I cannot answer your questions. Be satisfied with the fact that it looks like pure unadulterated win.
TL;DR: Hi, my name is ___, and I head the Yuki fansub group. We’re currently serving S1 reruns, and are considering a menu expansion to include S2. However, our restaurant is not very full, maybe because of the fact that I haven’t made any advertisements other than word of mouth. Actually, I came about to your site from TokyoTosho…and found out that you are doing 720p versions of S1. That prompted me to start watching yours…and I wasn’t disappointed at all!
If you want to increase your awareness, why not try to improve your SEO? I can recommend you this site (SEO from Yoast) for a basic in SEO. Hope that’ll improve your popularity!

But your right, only a few have seen this site/blog/plog, so waiting isn’t really a bother to us, because we know that people like you are fans like us and you want to share your fandom with others

I heard about you from an anime discussion forum, then used google to find you, a task which was almost impossible. You really do need to advertise yourself better. I hope you decide to sub the potential new Haruhi episodes.
don’t worry about speed ! As long as you keep up the good work, ill be archiving yours (but watching others in the meantime).
About translating, can’t you just use someone else’s script and give them credit? No one will think any less of you, and it will save you alot of time + likely end up in a better release.
