What is a plog?
Well, first things first, it seems I’ve started up a blog. I have a few questions to ask myself, though, and I might just as well enlighten you on the answers.
First of all, what in the world is a “plog”? Well. The name “plog” was the result of about three-minutes’ time of me trying to be witty. Combining the words “plodding” (which I consider my life to be) and “blog” (which I’m writing on right now), we receive an interesting fusion that sounds somewhat cool but actually is quite lame. See, I am a very strong believer in the fact that I have no idea why people love to write these intricate descriptions of themselves, because in my opinion nobody really cares. Hence, “plodding.” To plod is…
(v.intr.) To move or walk heavily or laboriously; trudge
Life is boring. Writing about life is boring. Hence, reading writings about life is quite boring, akin to sloshing through some newtonian fluid. Note forward movement, not sinking downward.
Also, why start a blog? If I really don’t care, and I think other people really don’t care about this, then why expend the effort. Well, as introduced to me by Twitter, telling random people who may or may not care is actually quite fun. Go figure. Well, the second reason is that I’ve (as part as my boredom), have been taking some HD Suzumiya Haruhi stuff, and making them pretty and subtitled, since there seems to be a lack of that on the fansub market. Well, it’s quite easy to update a blog, not quite as easy to update…a website? Dunno. Anyway. This blog will serve as my output of boredom for a little while, and perhaps I’ll actually remember to post here once in a while. Psh, let’s see how that goes.
Anyway, welcome to the plog, the round table discussion about pop culture subjects that begin with the letter S randomly cross my mind. (Wow, really bad allusion to a podcast I listen to)
Now I feel bored.
